(VIDEO) Hornets March into State Fair
More than 300 Edina High School band members marched on Underwood Avenue during the Great Minnesota Get-Together.
The Hornet Marching Band is notable for many things. With more than 300 members, the band stretches out longer than a city block. Beyond sheer numbers, the dedication and talent of the combined band is nationally recognized. With all the noise, crowds and distractions, it would be easy to expect a band to get not get noticed at the state fair, even if in a parade.
As the EHS Hornet marching band made their way through the streets of the Minnesota State Fair, all eyes watched them and the sweaty, teaming masses stopped as they passed. James and Shannon, two of the EHS Drum Majors, shared a few of the things that make their band so special.
