Local 'Skijammers' Take to Slopes at Wild Mountain

The ski and snowboard school celebrated its last 2011 class with a 'Fun Day' on Feb. 26 at the Minnesota ski area.

Students and instructors of the Minnetonka, Edina, Lake Harriet and Blake Skijammers ski and snowboard schools took to the slopes on Saturday, Feb. 26 for their final 2011 classes, celebrating with a "Fun Day" at Wild Mountain in Taylors Falls, MN.

More than 300 students from Edina, Minnetonka and Southwest Minneapolis piled onto school buses Saturday and spent the day at the ski area for the last of their eight classes in 2011.

Despite the cold—temperatures hovered around 5 degrees most of the day—the Fun Day celebrated the classes' graduations with a cookout, a scavenger hunt, and some students and instructors dressing up for a "Hollywood theme."
