• Minneapolis may add 11 more traffic cameras after data shows steep drop in speeding (fox9.com) — Mendota Heights is one of only two Minnesota cities testing new traffic safety cameras, with a Delaware Avenue camera already sharply reducing high-speed driving. Residents report feeling safer walking, even as some drivers protest. Minneapolis officials are now weighing whether to add more cameras, and the pilot's results in both cities could shape future traffic enforcement statewide. 
• Cretin-Derham Hall students injured in railing collapse at football game (thecatholicspirit.com) — Students from Cretin-Derham Hall were injured when a railing collapsed at TCO Stadium in Eagan after a football game against St. Thomas Academy of Mendota Heights. One student was briefly hospitalized and released, and stadium officials are compiling an incident report. The Vikings and stadium operators are now inspecting railings before more high school games this season.
