Florida Driver Cited For Smashing 47 Lowry Lights: MSP

A 69-year-old driver from Florida is facing citations after smashing 47 lights, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — A 69-year-old truck driver from Florida is facing citations for careless driving and failure to obey regulatory signs after smashing 47 lights in the Lowry Tunnel, Minnesota State Patrol spokesperson Tiffani Nielson told Patch Friday. The incident took place July 28 and was caught on video (see below).

If you are driving a semi or bus: Remember there are restrictions prohibiting trucks weighing more than 9,000 pounds from the Lowry Tunnel during the current project. All motorists must follow the posted speed limits to keep themselves, other motorists and construction workers safe.
