📰 News we're reading

• After quintuple bypass surgery, a St. Louis man is rebuilding his strength through cardiac rehab (ksdk.com) — Mercy is planning a new community-based cardiac rehab program at its cardiology clinic in O'Fallon, giving local heart patients a closer, more convenient option than traveling into St. Louis. The story follows a 71-year-old bypass patient whose supervised rehab, education, and social support show how these programs can rebuild strength and confidence, and explains how Mercy hopes to expand access through both the O'Fallon site and at‑home monitoring.

• Feeding On Faith serves thousands of meals to neighbors in need (warrencountyrecord.com) — A regional nonprofit, Feeding On Faith, is based in part in O'Fallon, where it accepts mailed donations that help fund twice‑monthly free meals for Warren County neighbors in need. Founders and volunteers have already served more than 2,000 meals, are preparing a large Thanksgiving distribution, and hope to eventually add a food truck to reach more children on days they're out of school.
