Emprove, Inc., a web-based platform where consumers and contractors engage with one another on a mutually informed and transparent basis, launched today in Las Vegas. The platform aims to fix the $260 billion home improvement industry by providing clarity and market efficiency for both homeowners and contractors; Emprove empowers homeowners with the tools and comprehensive cost estimates to initiate their projects with confidence, and services contractors by providing a free and efficient platform to submit cost proposals for projects that are well-defined, vetted and ready to go.
The Emprove process works in three steps: Dream It!, Cost It!, and Bid It! On the platform, users are prompted to dream up their home improvements with purpose and precision. The platform learns homeowner objectives and design sensibilities, and then translates them into an actionable plan. Then, Emprove’s proprietary data engine instantly generates a comprehensive scope and an itemized cost estimate for the project, while affording the opportunity to tailor each scope element to accommodate various quality standards and budget parameters. Once the homeowner is satisfied with their precise project scope, Emprove produces a detailed request-for-proposal package and delivers it to its marketplace of qualified contractors and administers a bid process. A competitive market is achieved for homeowners, and contractors efficiently engage with qualified consumers.

Homeowners dream, scope, and estimate the cost of their projects at Emprove for free. For $20, Emprove then delivers the formal request-for-proposal (RFP) and administers the bid process. Once a contractor is selected, Emprove fully refunds the $20 to the homeowner. Contractors do not have to pay any lead fees and can submit unlimited bids for free. They pay a project success fee only when they are awarded the job, which starts at $49 and varies with project size. Users outside of Las Vegas can enjoy the full value of Emprove for their dream projects up through the receipt of a downloadable RFP package that they can use to engage with their contractor.
Emprove’s leadership team is made up of Noel; Linda Lee, who serves as COO; and Andrew Pascal, who serves as chairman. Noel is a construction executive with more than 15 years of experience delivering complex and highly refined projects at every scale as a general contractor and owner/developer. Lee is a product executive with experience building sophisticated machine-learning targeting products for industry leading consumer companies like Yahoo, Inc. and Zynga. Pascal is an accomplished entrepreneur who has founded and built enduring businesses in the digital and leisure entertainment industries, including Playstudios and Silicon Gaming.
Emprove incorporated in June 2017 and raised $3.3 million in seed capital as of February 2018. Its lead investor is DCM Ventures, based out of Silicon Valley. The company has plans to expand to California and Arizona in Q1 2019.
