The move shifts full responsibility for the new road's upkeep, drainage systems, and bridge structure to the town, with officials expecting it to last about 30 years under proper maintenance.
   

• New Hampshire consumers feeling effects of high diesel prices (wmur.com) — A Bedford shopper describes clipping coupons and hunting for off-brand bargains as diesel prices soar to $6.40 a gallon, pushing up grocery costs across New Hampshire.
