Report: Missing Couch Could Lead to Clues in Robert's Shooting Death
Reward increases to $37,500 in murder of Bedford newspaper advertising rep in Manchester last month.

One of the sources who contacted police after Denise Robert was murdered on Aug. 30, in the North End of Manchester, is speaking out about a potential clue in the shooting: a couch left on the curb of the street that disappeared minutes after the shooting, according to a report in the New Hampshire Union Leader.
The neighborhood resident, who asked not to be identified, has told the newspaper that he and three friends were sitting on an abandoned couch about 10 minutes before the shooting. The individuals heard the shooting and later, discovered the body, and called police. Minutes later, the couch had disappeared.
“Someone drove up and picked that couch up and drove away when the police were coming,” the man told the newspaper.

Investigators initially ignored the comments by the source but reportedly last week, investigators interviewed the man at length about what they saw. The man provided police with a picture that one of the friends took while they were on the couch.
Robert, who lived in Bedford with her mother, was a newspaper advertising sales representative for the parent company of the newspaper.
