4th Largest Powerball Jackpot On Saturday Nears $1 Billion
A lottery official said the jackpot is expected to be as high as $925 million — with a one-time payout, before taxes, of $432.4 million.

CONCORD, NH — The Powerball jackpot has been increasing during the past two months to the point where it is approaching close to $1 billion again.
Saturday’s jackpot was expected to be around $925 million, according to Charlie McIntyre, the executive director of the New Hampshire Lottery. If anyone wins — the odds are one in 292.2 million, but people do hit it, including Granite Staters, it will be the fourth-largest Powerball jackpot in history. The one-time cash payout, before taxes, was expected to be around $432.4 million.
“Imagine all the things you could buy with $925 million,” McIntyre said. “You could buy the house, I mean houses of your dreams, travel the world on your own private jet, and so much more. The possibilities are endless, as it is such an exciting moment for our players.”

McIntyre said during the past few weeks, retailers across New Hampshire have seen players “jumping at the opportunity” to become the state’s next multi-millionaire.
“We anticipate a continued high volume of sales leading right up to the drawing this weekend,” he said, adding, “Remember, it only takes one ticket to win.”
