9 Arrested for DUI During NH State Police Sobriety Checkpoint

Nearly 300 vehicles stopped on Route 104 in New Hampton; residents of Concord, Franklin, Manchester, Bristol, and Massachusetts bagged.

The New Hampshire State Police arrested nine people from New Hampshire and Massachusetts for DUI during a sobriety checkpoint held on Saturday night and Sunday morning, according to a press statement.

The checkpoint was held from 10 p.m. on June 20, to 2 a.m. on June 21, 2015, along Route 104 in New Hampton as part of an effort to “to deter and apprehend impaired motorists” in the region, according to Sgt. Victor Muzzey.

During the checkpoint, 292 vehicles were stopped and screened. The following individuals were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, according to state police:

  • Alexandra Seavey, 26, Franklin, NH
  • Robert Herring, 64, Maynard, MA
  • James Claypool, 51, Manchester, NH
  • Suriya Phongsavat, 43, Bristol, NH
  • Ethan Reynolds, 23, Plymouth, NH
  • Heath Labombard, 23, Concord, NH
  • Jonathan Frost, 40, Manchester, NH
  • Jorge Almanzar, 28, Concord, NH

One summons was also issued for open container. All are due in Laconia District Court on June 30.
