After Being Assaulted, Concord Woman Uses Car As A Weapon: Cops

Ronald Perron faces domestic assault, mischief charges while Ashley Zachary was charged with felony reckless conduct and child endangerment.

CONCORD, NH — A vehicle operation complaint tip led Concord police to file numerous charges against a couple involved in a domestic violence incident Tuesday. At just after 9 a.m., officers were sent to Rumford Street near Beacon Street after receiving a report of a woman attempting to run over a man with a car. Officers arrived and spoke with the couple who were in the driveway of the residence, according to Lt. Sean Ford, the commander of the criminal investigations divisions for the Concord Police Department.

"The police investigation alleges that the couple, who were in a relationship, had an argument while they were inside of a parked car," Ford said. "The male allegedly assaulted the female with a phone and then fled. The female then drove after the male through city streets, attempting to run him down. All the while, there were two very young children in car seats inside the vehicle."

Police arrested Ronald Perron, 41, of Concord, on domestic violence-simple assault, simple assault, and criminal mischief charges. He was released on personal recognizance bail and is due in Concord District Court on Sept. 26.
