After Fire, 2 Confirmed Dead Inside Salisbury Farmhouse
The NH State Fire Marshal and Salisbury Fire Department are investigating the cause of a fire and the deaths of two people Sunday.

CONCORD, NH — Two people were found deceased after being unable to escape a fire inside a farmhouse Sunday, according to the New Hampshire State Fire Marshal's Office.
Salisbury firefighters were sent to the home on 516 West Salisbury Road around 1:30 p.m. after receiving a call from 911 about a fire at the home. The teams found "heavy smoke and fire" coming from the home and eventually, the call went to three alarms, with numerous firefighters and EMTs from around the region, including Concord, arriving to assist.
During the fighting of the fire, two occupants were found inside but firefighters had to evacuate the building before they could be removed. One firefighter reportedly fell through a roof of the building and required medical care.

When the fire was extinguished, the occupants were removed and taken to Concord Hospital where an autopsy will be performed Monday, according to Anthony Booth, an investigator with the fire marshal's office.
"State Fire Marshal Parisi wants to remind everyone to maintain working smoke alarms in their homes, keep exits clear of debris, have your heating systems inspected and maintained on an annual basis and keep at least a three to five foot clearance around any heating appliance from other combustible materials," Booth said in a press statement. "At this time, the victims have not been positively identified."
