According to a court report, in mid-September, officers were sent to Lincoln Financial for a report of a tent found on the company’s property off Rumford Street. The officers arrived at the scene, inspected the tent, and spoke to two individuals inside. After running their names, police cleared the woman – a teen – but neither the man’s name – “Denny Cadorette” – nor his birthdate were in the system. Dispatch, however, informed the officers that the woman was a protected party due to a prior domestic violence incident. The restraining order was issued out of Conway District Court in May and the defendant was Ashland, according to the affidavit.

The officers checked Ashland’s photo and realized that it matched the man they were speaking with. They questioned him again and he allegedly admitted giving a false name and was arrested. Ashland was held and arraigned on Sept. 19.
A couple of weeks later, officers stationed in the South End were sent to the Rudman Federal Courthouse to pick up bags that a guard found on the property that contained a knife and drug paraphernalia. As they arrived on South Spring Street, according to an affidavit, they saw a man and a woman sitting on a bench near the building.

The officers spoke to a Homeland Security official who stated that several bags were found abandoned in back of the courthouse. He searched the bags and found a knife in one and a prescription bottle with a woman’s name on it. Ashland’s court paperwork was also allegedly found inside a bag while a hypodermic needle was found in another bag, the official alleged.
After the inspector mentioned Ashland and the woman’s name, the officer recalled past interactions with them as well as the domestic violence order barring Ashland from being near the woman. The officer also thought that the man and woman on the bench might be Ashland and the woman, according to the report.
The officers left the building and headed toward the bench when the woman walked toward them. They spoke with her and she reportedly stated that she was going to the back of the building to pick up her bags, the affidavit alleged. Ashland allegedly began to walk away from police but they ordered him to stop.
“Ashland, instead, disobeyed each of my commands and continued walking away from my location,” the officer alleged.
Ashland allegedly ran across Pleasant Street and up North Spring Street. The officers chased him but lost him in the Thompson Playground area. Other units headed to the area but they were also unable to find him, according to reports.
A warrant was issued for his arrest the next day.
About 10 days later, at around 1:15 a.m., while patrolling McKee Square, an officer saw a black Ford Explorer driving without its lights on.
The officer stopped the vehicle and made contact with the woman who was driving the vehicle and a passenger – Ashland. After a check, dispatch stated that there were multiple warrants against Ashland – including the previous incident from Oct. 1 – as well as a protective order that he not be near the woman who was driving the vehicle. He was arrested and held on $3,000 cash bail.
Previously, according to reports on Patch, Ashland was arrested on assault charges in May after an alleged incident Sheep Davis Road near Makris Lobster & Steakhouse and a warrant on June 14, out of Hooksett.
