CONCORD, NH — A man from Nashua was arrested on Aug. 2 after being accused of wrong-way driving in Manchester and Bedford, according to New Hampshire State Police.
Around 3:45 a.m., state police began receiving reports of a wrong-way driver near Exit 5 on Interstate 293. The driver, according to the report, was driving south in the northbound lanes.
About 2 minutes later, a sergeant found the car, a Nissan Altima, "driving head-on toward him, southbound, of the northbound side of the F. E. Everett Turnpike," a report stated. The sergeant used their cruiser and emergency lights to bring the driver to a stop around Mile Marker 19.6 in Bedford.
The driver, Paul Conners, 72, of Nashua, was arrested on charges of reckless conduct, reckless operation, and negligent driving. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Merrimack District Court on Sept. 15.

A man from Jaffrey faces five felony counts of possession of child sexual abuse images after an investigation by the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
According to state police, Sebastian Fogg, 28, was arrested after an Aug. 4 search warrant was executed at a home on Hadley Road. Other agencies involved in the investigation included the Derry and Jaffrey police departments.
Fogg was scheduled to be arraigned in Jaffrey District Court on Aug. 5. He was held at the Cheshire County Jail.

State police are investigating what appears to be a drowning on Ossipee Lake in Freedom on Aug. 8.
Just before 3 a.m., dispatch received a report about a man entering the lake for a swim but later went under and could not be located.
First responders arrived at the scene and began searching for Shawn Meader, 45, of Waterville, ME. Members of the Center Ossipee Dive Rescue Team later located and recovered the man from the water in the area where he was last seen going under.
Despite life-saving measures, he was pronounced dead at the scene, the report stated.
State police said the death is not believed to be suspicious at this time, and the exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
Marine Patrol officers and members of the Troop E barracks were assisted by members of the Freedom Police Department, Freedom Fire Department, the Center Ossipee Dive Rescue Team and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

State police are investigating the death of a man from Swanzey.
Around 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 7, state police were sent to the lake to assist in the search for Philip Johnson, 80, who went missing from the boat launch area. Investigators learned Johnson had planned to meet a friend at the boat launch to remove a boat from the water and place it onto a trailer, state police said. When the friend arrived, Johnson's boat was near the shoreline, but Johnson was not located. After searching the area for Johnson, the friend called 911 to report him missing.
First responders then arrived and found Johnson deceased in the water under his boat, state police said. The death is not believed to be suspicious at this time, though the exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
Marine Patrol officers and members of the Troop C barracks were assisted at the scene by the Swanzey Police Department, Swanzey Fire Department, New Hampshire Fish and Game Department, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
