Another Homeless Camp Fire Extinguished Under I-393 Bridge: Watch
A police officer reported "stuff exploding" in a debris fire near the Kimball Jenkins Estate and NH Distributors; a woman was arrested.
CONCORD, NH — Concord police and fire and rescue teams were sent to a homeless camp underneath Interstate 393 for another fire on Sunday.
A police officer involved with an investigation in the area reported seeing smoke from the railroad tracks underneath an I-393 overpass in the area of the New Hampshire Distributors building on Horseshoe Pond Lane and Kimball Jenkins Estate. The officer noted the smoke seemed significant. After going to the area, an officer reported seeing a man attempting to put the fire out.
Police dispatch requested firefighters and EMTs to the scene after an officer said there was “stuff exploding in the fire.” A woman was also taken into custody by the police.

When the firefighters arrived, they found a pile of debris in flames but told dispatch to cancel Tower 1, which was on its way, too.
The firefighters stretched a line, used trash hooks to move the debris around, and extinguished the fire. Engine 5 cleared the scene after the fire was entirely out around 12:45 p.m.
