ARRESTS: Concord Woman Allegedly Bites Boyfriend
Plus, theft victim finds his GPS unit on Craigslist, fights with alleged thief.

Paul Noyes, 19, of Sanders Street in Concord, was arrested at 1 p.m. on July 3, on a receiving stolen property charge. At around 7:30 a.m., an officer was sent to Winter Street for a report of the theft of a GPS unit from a Subaru Crosstrek overnight. The victim of the theft reported to the officer that he thought his GPS unit was on sale on Craigslist. The ad was posted around 10 p.m. the night before. The officer and the victim attempted to make contact with the person, later identified as Noyes. Noyes, it turned out, lived a few streets away. The officer attempted to meet up with Noyes but got busy with other things and the victim went to meet with him even though the officer requested that he refrain from doing so. Later on, the officer was called to Sam’s on Village Street for an altercation between the victim and Noyes, with the victim taking the unit from Noyes. The officer and Noyes spoke about the incident and then, he was arrested. He was arraigned on Aug. 18.
Dustin Walsh, 20, of Modena Drive in Penacook, was arrested at 4:23 a.m. on July 4, on two driving while intoxicated charges and an unlawful possession of alcohol charge. An officer was sent to Carter Hill Road for a motor vehicle accident involving a 2005 Mazda 3 in a ditch. The officer arrived and asked the driver, Walsh, if he was OK, and he said twice that he was. When asked what happened, Walsh allegedly stated that he came around the corner too fast. Walsh also allegedly stated that he had been drinking, about six beers during two hours. He agreed to a field sobriety test and was arrested. He also received a summons for speeding. He was arraigned on July 21.
Francis E. Griffin, 58, of Penwood Drive in Penacook, was arrested at 12:15 p.m. on July 4, on warrants. While on Loudon Road an officer ran a check on a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier and found the owner had parole warrants issued by Rockingham County from December 2013. The vehicle was pulled over and Griffin was arrested.

Vanessa Ann Gangel, 28, of South State Street in Concord, was arrested at 11:20 p.m. on July 4, on simple assault and resisting arrest or detention charges. Brittany Sue Barreto, 19, of Canton Circle in Concord, was arrested at 12:22 a.m. on July 5, on unlawful possess of alcohol and default or breach of bail conditions charges. An officer was on South Main Street and saw a Mitsubishi stopped in the road and a possible altercation going on. One person, Gangel, separated herself from the other two and reportedly started to walk away from the scene. The officer ordered her to stop and she fled. The officer called for other units and spoke to the other two. The man stated that she and Gangel were involved and earlier, she asked for a ride. He picked her up later and there was another woman in the passenger seat. Gangel and the man started fighting about him being with another woman and she allegedly started assaulting him from the back seat, including biting his thumb. The other woman tried to pull her off the man and the vehicle stopped on Perley Street. He had scratch marks but didn’t want to press charges. Another officer caught up with Gangel at Perley and South State streets and during a conversation, she allegedly admitted to biting the man, and she was arrested. The officer drove her to her apartment to pick up shoes and some money. While there, the officer came into contact with others, including one woman who was taken into protective custody due to her drunkenness. “I’m intoxicated but I’m 21 so it’s OK,” the officer stated the woman said. The other woman, Barreto, was allegedly intoxicated with eyes that “were half shut” and slurring her speech. Barreto was out on bail from a previous alcohol arrest and was arrested. “She began crying as I got the PBT set up,” the officer alleged, after allegedly admitting to drinking. Barreto was held on $2,000 cash bail and arraigned on July 7.
Kimberly Bousquet, 27, a homeless woman now located in Concord, was arrested at 11:28 p.m. on July 6, on theft by deception, receiving stolen property, and unsworn falsification charges from Merrimack Valley Day Care on North Fruit Street on May 20, and June 10. Bousquet turned herself in to police and was arraigned on Aug. 4.

Charles Aaron Dexter, 26, of Summer Street in Concord, was arrested at 1:14 a.m. on July 7, on a driving while intoxicated charge. While on North State Street an officer saw a 2001 Honda Civic being driven by a man who the officer had a previous call with earlier in the evening. The man, Dexter, appeared intoxicated and stated he was too drunk to drive so he was waiting to be picked up by a friend at the Durgin Garage. The officer watched the vehicle drive by, turned around, and followed the car. The officer stated that the Honda crossed over the double yellow line and later, drifted left and almost struck the center island on Bouton Street. The car was pulled over on I-393. Dexter reportedly smelled like alcohol and after a field sobriety test, he was arrested. He had a court date on July 21.
Kimarie MacDonald, 52, of South Fruit Street in Concord, at 3:01 p.m. on July 7, on a warrant. She turned herself in to police on a fraud charge and had a court date on July 24.
Mario Coppola, 44, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested 8:20 p.m. on July 8, on a criminal trespass charge. An officer was sent to Market Basket on Storrs Street for a report of a trespasser. The assistant manager showed the officer a picture of the person, Coppola, who was served with the order earlier in the day. Coppola was allegedly sitting on the ground near the loading dock of the store, smoking a cigarette. “Coppola was slurring his words and appeared intoxicated,” the officer alleged, adding that he appeared to have urinated in his pants. He was arrested and held without bail.
Dustin Patrick Averill, 20, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested at 10:30 a.m. on July 9, on a theft by deception charge from Walmart on Loudon Road from May 18. He refused bail and was held.
Richard Cabral, 29, of Main Street in Tilton, was arrested at 2:10 p.m. on July 9, on two counts of theft by deception and two counts of receiving stolen property from April 14, and April 15, at the Cash for Gold on Manchester Street. Cabral was arrested by the Tilton Police and transported to Concord where he was held on $4,000 cash bail.
Garrett Halle, 21, of Stone Street in Concord, was arrested at 4:30 p.m. on July 9, on a bench warrant from Concord District Court on a controlled drug acts prohibited from Feb. 24. He was arraigned on Aug. 4.
Kendrick Waddell, 42, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested at 4:30 p.m. on July 9, and charged with criminal trespass and consumption of liquor on private property. Officers were called to assist Concord Fire with an intoxicated man sitting on a wall near a dumpster by the Hess gas station. Waddell was reportedly sleeping on the wall next to beer cans. After waking up, he was reportedly swaying side to side. Waddell had a no trespass order that was checked and found to be still active so he was arrested. He was held without bail.
Jessica N. Carter, 38, of Laurel Street in Concord, was arrested at 7:50 p.m. on July 9, on a bail jumping charge. Officers were sent to Manchester to pick up Carter who was arrested on the Concord warrant. She was arraigned on Aug. 4.
