ARRESTS: Pittsfield Man Charged with Drug Dealing

April Louise McJuary, 36, a homeless woman now located in Concord, was arrested at 11:49 p.m. on Aug. 4, and charged with criminal trespass and simple assault (personal weapons). Officers were called to the Vegas Block Apartments on North Main Street for a report that McJuary allegedly tried to kick in an apartment door. McJuary was reportedly sitting on the floor outside of the apartment. An officer asked why she was in the building when she was previously told to leave earlier in the evening and McJuary allegedly was yelling about the situation. The yelling reportedly woke up other residents and McJuary was taken into custody. According to a court document, while being taken into custody, McJuary allegedly said to one of the officers, “I know you, you mother------” and then cleared her throat and spat on an officer, hitting him in the chest. An assault charge was added to the trespass charge. McJuary refused bail and was arraigned on Aug. 5.

William R. Morel, 42, of Pittsfield, was arrested at 4:30 pm. on Aug. 8, and charged with a felony count of possession of controlled drugs and three counts of possession of prescription drugs without a prescription. The charges stem from an alleged incident at Concord Hospital on Pleasant Street on March 21, reportedly involving Cephalexin, Sulfamethoxazole, Metformin, cocaine, heroin, Oxycodine, and Oxycodone. As evidence seized in the case, police reportedly obtained baggies, a scale, four used syringes, spoons, scissors, a razor blade, and other items. According to a court document, officers were called to Concord Hospital on Pleasant Street for a report of a patient allegedly selling drugs from his hospital room. The officers spoke with security about the anonymous tip they received. Morel reportedly agreed to allow police to search his room. A backpack and purse were found in the room. Morel allegedly told officers that the backpack belonged to him and the purse belonged to his girlfriend who was at another location in the hospital. The woman was called to obtain permission to search it, which she reportedly agreed to. The backpack allegedly contained medications, a scale, tourniquets, a syringe, three small baggies of white powder believed to be heroin, an xBox, and cellphones. In the purse, police allegedly found a tourniquet, scissors, metal spoons with residue, knives, razor blades, and other items. During a search of the bedding area, a three inch diameter of rolled up $100 bills was found. An arrest warrant was issued on July 15. Morel was served by the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Department since he was being held in the Rockingham County Jail on other charges. Morel refused bail and was arraigned on Aug. 9.

Jeffrey James Kablik, 43, of Concord, was arrested at 12:42 a.m. on Aug. 9, on a simple assault (personal weapons) charge. An officer was sent to Thorndike Street for a report of a man banging on apartment doors. The man was reportedly Kablik, who had been spoken to by officers previously in the evening. According to the report, a woman stated that she was roasting marshmallows with Kablik and others when Kablik started yelling at her. Kablik allegedly had been drinking vodka and wine, and getting unruly, saying that he was going to “knock them out,” according to the woman. Kablik later allegedly hit her in the face, she stated. A witness confirmed the woman’s side of the incident. Kablik later came out of his apartment and “started talking in a loud manner” with slurred speech while being unsteady on his feet. Kablik was arrested and charged. He refused bail and was arraigned on Aug. 9.

Heather Edwards, 38, of Concord, was arrested at 12:55 a.m. on Aug. 10, on a driving while intoxicated charge. An officer was called to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Loudon Road and Old Loudon Road, with heavy damage and debris scattered everywhere. The officer spoke to both to the owner of a 1999 Toyota Sienna who stated that she was coming around the corner when another vehicle came across the yellow line and struck her minivan. The woman was “shaken up” and checked by Concord Fire and Rescue teams, who later cleared her and left the scene. The other driver, Edwards, “was pacing around the roadway, smoking a cigarette” without any shoes on, according to the officer, and was clearly upset. Edwards reportedly said she was driving her 2006 Dodge Durango on Loudon Road, heading to Taco Bell, to pick up her son. But when trying to describe how the accident happened, the officer alleged that he couldn’t understand what she was saying. During the interaction with Edwards, the officer alleged that she smelled like alcohol and was unsteady on her feet. Edwards, who described some other family issues to the officer during the interaction, allegedly admitted to having two beers earlier in the evening. She agreed to field sobriety test and was arrested. At first, Edwards allegedly wouldn’t allow herself to be cuffed, standing with her arms crossed. Later, she allowed herself to be handcuffed. She was released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail and had a court date on Aug. 26.

Shara Ashley, 25, of Concord, was arrested at 9:13 p.m. on Aug. 11, on a simple assault (personal weapons) charge. Officers were called to Rumford Street for a fight in progress. While at the home, an officer saw a man being detained and other officers alleged that Ashley was being uncooperative. The officer went to speak with Ashley and asked for information that she allegedly refused to give. Another witness however, her nephew, reportedly told the officer that Ashley had allegedly assaulted another man, “hitting and punching” him, with other family members started ganging up on him too. She was arrested and refused bail and arraigned on Aug. 12.

William Allen, 50, of Kalamazoo, Mich., was arrested at 3:52 p.m. on Aug. 12, and charged with driving after revocation or suspension and a bench warrant. While on Broadway at South Street, an officer reportedly saw a vehicle drive straight onto Clinton Street while in the right hand turn lane. The officer stopped the vehicle outside of Concord District Court on Clinton Street. The man, Allen, reportedly handed the officer a Michigan state ID card and said he had a New York license. However, dispatch reported that Allen had a suspended license and was wanted on a warrant out of Hampton from Jan. 9, 2012. He was arrested and later, released on $1,500 personal recognizance bail. He’s due in Concord District Court on Sept. 9, and Hampton District Court on Oct. 14.

Thakur Kharel, 22, of Concord, was arrested at 3:44 a.m. on Aug. 13, and charged with driving while intoxicated and theft of lost or mislaid property. Officers were called to the Concord Gardens apartment complex for a report of an accident between a car and a telephone pole. When they arrived, the officers found a Hyundai Sonata, with its airbag deployed, resting against a severed pole. The driver, Kharel, had a head wound and cuts and scrapes on his arms. Concord Fire and Rescue teams were called to assist with the wounds. The reporting officer spoke to Kharel who reportedly said he was coming from 7-Eleven on Loudon Road after buying cigarettes. After running Kharel’s name with dispatch, a warrant on a theft charge from June 15, 2012, came up. The charge involved an iPod Touch valued at $199.99, allegedly taken from a resident at Concord Gardens. The officer alleged that Kharel was “extremely unsteady on his feet” and “his eyes were glassy.” He allegedly admitted to drinking “a 40 ounce bottle” of beer and agreed to a field sobriety test but refused a portable breathalyzer test. He was later arrested and released on $3,000 personal recognizance bail but held at the Merrimack County House of Corrections until he sobered up, according to the report.

Ryan Lunderville, 25, of Concord, was arrested at 4:05 p.m. on Aug. 15, on a theft charge. The charge stems from an alleged incident at Walmart on Loudon Road on Dec. 7, 2012, involving a Wrangler jacket valued at $40. Lunderville was taken into custody by Newport Police and booked and processed him. Bail was set at $750 personal recognizance. He is due in court on Sept. 23.

Michelle Lynn Hardy, 33, of Concord, was arrested at 8:15 p.m. on Aug. 16, on a warrant. An officer went to Pavillion Drive to arrest Hardy who was wanted by the Rockingham County Sheriff’s office on a violation of terms of probation charge.
