LACONIA, NH — A Lakes Region man is facing felony charges after being accused of threatening others with a gun on New Year’s Day in Laconia.

According to police, a victim reported a gun threat not far from the police station on Wednesday. Officers investigated the incident and found a volunteer at Isaiah 61 Café, a homeless resource center on New Salem Street, was on their way to work when they heard a disturbance at the Salvation Army property across the street, according to police.

“The subject reported a male they knew as ‘A.J’ was arguing with a female subject, and they had stopped to check on the female when ‘AJ’ got upset and pointed a gun in their face,” police claimed.
