CONCORD, NH — More than 3,200 New Hampshire children in need received gifts this year as part of the Operation Santa Claus effort — including 130 gifts donated by students at Bishop Brady High School in Concord.

The students dropped off their gifts at the New Hampshire National Guard headquarters, which served as this year’s drop-off location, on Dec. 6. The toys were delivered to social workers on Dec. 13, to be given to children around the state.

Since 1960, SEA/SEIU Local 1984's volunteer-led program has ensured gifts were provided to children in need. State employees at the New Hampshire Department of Human Services identify kids who may benefit from the outreach program. Staffers provided case sheets with essential information and gift suggestions, and Operation Santa Claus volunteers organized the rest.
