Blustery New Hampshire Day Brings Power Outages
Around 3,000 electric customers across the state are without power on Friday due to wind gusts as high as 40 mph.

GRAY, MAINE — Thousands of Granite Staters are without power on Friday due to blustery winds across the state which are expected to continue through the evening and possibly into Saturday morning.
The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook around 8:30 a.m. warning of high winds and possible power outages.
“Northwest wind gusts to around 40 mph will be possible today, decreasing into the evening hours,” the alert stated. “Locally higher wind gusts are possible immediately downslope of the mountains.”

As of 8:30 a.m., Eversource, the state’s largest utility, reported nearly 2,500 customers without power. Most were in Francestown, Hebron, Canterbury, Milford, and Bradford with smaller outages in central and southern New Hampshire.
Unitil reported about a dozen customers without power in Kensington.

The New Hampshire Electric Coop, which reported around 1,500 customers without power earlier Friday, was down to 232, mostly in the Lakes Region.
Liberty Utilities reported no outages.
