Capital region police, Bow EMTs, a NH State Police K-9 unit, a sheriff's deputy spent Tuesday and Wednesday searching for a missing person.

BOW, NH — A body of a missing capital region resident was recovered from the Merrimack River on Wednesday.

The resident was reported missing Tuesday with a statewide be-on-the-lookout (BOLO) call issued for the person and their vehicle on Tuesday afternoon. The vehicle was found later on Hall Street in Bow and a team of officers, including Bow police, Concord police, a Merrimack County sheriff's deputy, and New Hampshire State Police troopers, began searching the area.

A K-9 unit was called in around 6 p.m. and spent a number of hours trying to track the scent of the missing person — with the officer and the canine searching from Hall Street over to Route 3A and in wooded areas in between, according to scanner chatter.

At one point during the search, as it grew darker, the K-9 officer reported the dog was not picking up anything and the search was called off not long after.

At around 7 a.m. on Wednesday, a Bow rescue team launched a boat in the Merrimack River, to search for the missing person, and they were found just before 8 a.m.
