Camry Crashes Into Commercial Building In Concord’s North End
Video: A vacant building at Rumford and North State streets sustained minor damage after an accident on Saturday; driver taken into custody.
CONCORD, NH — A Concord police officer on patrol in the North End came across an accident at the intersection of North State and Rumford streets on Saturday.
The officer found a Toyota Camry, that appeared to be traveling south, had crashed into a street sign at Rufo Square, and stopped when it hit a now vacant commercial building. Another officer was sent to the accident to assist.
The first officer said the driver did not need medical attention and there was no airbag deployment in the car.

Fire and rescue teams were requested to inspect the building. Firefighters took pictures of the damage for the building department while EMTs checked the driver, according to scanner chatter.
Concord General Service was also alerted to the damaged street sign.

A third officer was also requested to handle traffic from Rumford Street.
The driver was given field sobriety tests and police collected evidence from the scene, officers said. He was taken into custody later.
