CH+R Puts A Fresh Face On 74 Rumford Street

74 Rumford Street is no longer an eye sore or haven to drug and criminal behavior now that Concord Housing + Redevelopment has completed its substantial renovations. New tenants are moving in to a building that has been completely re-wired and re-plumbed. Walls of the four-unit apartments have been reconfigured to a more functional floor plan; cabinetry in all kitchens and baths were replaced with new ones along with new appliances where needed. Whenever possible the hardwood floors were saved, sanded and polished, others received new carpeting. Concord Housing + Redevelopment installed a laundry facility on site and added tenant storage lockers in the previously unused basement space. Renovations to the building exterior, including replacing the porch, doors, and landscaping will be completed as weather permits.
