Concord, NH, October 7, 2019– Concord Crew will be supporting St. Benedict’s school, from South Africa, at the annual New Hampshire Champs Regatta with a loan of several racing shells and oars. St. Benedict’s, in the US for Boston’s Head of the Charles Regatta, will be using the NH Champs in Pembroke, NH on Sunday, October 13th as a warm up in the week before heading to Boston.

In addition to St. Benedicts, Concord Crew will also be supporting Melbourne University Boat Club, from Melbourne, Australia. A team of men from Melbourne, here for the Head of the Charles will also be competing in the NH Champs.

Concord Crew has a long history of supporting other teams in the rowing community. Assisting other teams is seen as good sportsmanship by the club.

The NH Championship Regatta, held annually at Memorial Park in Pembroke, is often used by visiting teams to help prepare for the Head of the Charles regatta. The Head of the Charles is the largest annual rowing competition in the United States taking place on October 19th and 20th in Boston MA. As in previous years, Concord Crew will be sending two boats to the Charles this year.
