Concord Felon Arrested On Fentanyl And Methamphetamine Sale Charges After Concord Heights Traffic Stop
Jake Phillip Evans, formerly of Bow and Pembroke, faces charges after being stopped near the Steeplegate Mall for failing to use a signal.

CONCORD, NH — A man from Concord, previously accused of drug dealing, was arrested again this month on new charges after police accused him of possessing drugs in his crossover.
Jake P. Evans, 33, of Loudon Road in Concord, was arrested at 12:50 a.m. on May 5 on possession of methamphetamine-subsequent, possession of fentanyl-subsequent, and falsifying physical evidence charges, all felonies, as well as transport drugs in a motor vehicle and failure to use a required turn signal. After requesting a search warrant for his 2012 Subaru Outback, possession of a controlled drug-sale-fentanyl and possession of a controlled drug-sale-meth charges, both felonies, were added.
According to court affidavits, around 12:15 a.m. on May 5, an officer saw the driver of a Subaru, towing a trailer, fail to use a turn signal while turning onto Loudon Road from D’Amante Drive. The vehicle was pulled over, and the driver, Evans, was accused of being “visibly nervous, trembling, and breathing rapidly.” The officer accused him of providing “vague responses” to questions about residency and what he was doing, while also saying “he was traveling to a location of Loudon Road known to me for prior drug-related activity.” The officer also knew of Evans’ priors, according to the report.

When asked if there was anything in the vehicle the officer should be concerned about, “Evans replied, ‘Not that I know of’,” while “leaning toward and focusing on the center console” of the crossover, the affidavit said. After a request and consenting to open the center console, the officer saw “multiple hypodermic needles” in the console, the report stated.
Evans was requested to exit the vehicle, which he did, and then made deliberate movements between the driver’s seat and door, “consistent with attempting to conceal something,” the report stated. The officer found two baggies beneath the driver’s seat, partially concealed by a loose plastic trim piece, the officer wrote, containing meth and fentanyl, the report said. Evans was accused of possessing a needle in his pocket and live ammunition.

During an inventory search before towing the vehicle, more fentanyl was found in the overhead sunglasses holder.
A search warrant was requested and granted, and on May 6, police went to a tow facility in Pembroke to search the vehicle.
Inside, the officer found a needle, loaded with brown liquid, more meth concealed inside the vehicle, numerous plastic baggies, a digital scale, multiple rounds of ammunition, a handgun holster, and firearm cleaning supplies, the affidavit said.
“The controlled substances were concealed and dispersed throughout multiple areas of the vehicle,” the officer said. “Although a firearm itself was not ultimately recovered, I know from my training and experience that individuals involved in the sale and distribution of controlled drugs commonly possess firearms, ammunition, and firearm-related equipment in order to protect controlled substances, proceeds, and themselves.”
In total, 26.2 grams of fentanyl and 20.65 grams of meth were found.
The officer also noted Evans was in possession of an EBT card, a prescription bottle, a VISA card, shipping materials bearing his name, and a photograph with his name on it. Nothing was found in the attached trailer, the report stated.
Evans was held on preventive detention after being arraigned in Merrimack County Superior Court on May 15. He is due back in court for a dispositional conference on Aug. 6.

According to superior court records, Evans was accused of selling MDMA and Molly in Concord in March 2015. A year later, he was charged with nine felony acts prohibited counts. In September 2016, Evans pleaded guilty to three counts. He received three 12-month jail sentences and three $620 fines, all suspended for five years. Evans was ordered to pay $180 in restitution to the New Hampshire Department of Corrections.
In January 2025, the Merrimack County Attorney’s Office requested his criminal conviction packet after he was charged with two counts of controlled drug act and controlled drug: controlled premises where drugs kept charges out of Pembroke after incidents in June 2024. Evans was indicted on the controlled drug acts in April 2025.
The case is still active, according to court records, because Evans has appealed a motion to suppress request from August 2025 to the New Hampshire Supreme Court. His attorney withdrew from that case on May 18.
Evans was also arrested on domestic violence and assault charges in June 2025, at the Railyard Apartments, as well as warrants previously, according to posts on Patch.
