Concord Firefighters Douse Grass Fire On Storrs Street

Watch: Concord Fire and Rescue teams quickly extinguish a fire behind the Burlington Coat Factory store this afternoon.

CONCORD, NH — Concord firefighters quickly put out a grass fire on Storrs Street this afternoon. The fire was reported at just after 2 p.m. on May 6, 2019, right behind the Burlington Coat Factory store along the railroad tracks the parallel I-93. The firefighters used a water-foam mix to extinguish the fire.

It is unknown what exactly caused the fire at post time. However, firefighters at the scene said there were no issues with utility pole wires so it was probably someone who dropped a cigarette while walking along the railroad tracks.
