Concord Firefighters Head To Help With Hurricane Harvey Recovery Efforts

Battalion Chief Sean Brown; Capts. Derek Kelleher, Tim Robinson are on their way to Texas to assist; others may also be called up to help.

CONCORD, NH — Concord Firefighters are joining Massachusetts first responders to assist in the Hurricane Harvey rescue and relief efforts, according to the Concord Fire Department. The department noted that Battalion Chief Sean Brown and Capts. Derek Kelleher and Tim Robinson will be joining the Mass. Task Force One team to assist. The department shared the Mass. Task Force post on Facebook.

“Our thoughts are with them and we await their safe return,” the post said.

The Professional Firefighters of Concord, NH - Local 1045 also noted on Facebook that Brown was deployed as a FEMA Urban Search and Rescue logistics officer to assist in managing the anticipated emergency response to the hurricane. Others from Concord may also be called up to help.

The task force was activated to “support rescue efforts” after the hurricane hit land. They were deployed on Sunday afternoon.
