CONCORD, NH — The Concord High School Crimson Tide varsity wrestling team won their home opener on Wednesday against the Pinkerton Academy Astros, 42 to 27.

It was a hard-fought, come-from-behind win for the Tide, who, at one point, were down 21 to 12 midway through the matches, with Levi Madison and Maximus Chung beating their opponents and Irankunda Mvuyekure receiving a disqualification win due to an illegal slam by Lance Bordeleau of Pinkerton.

But Isaiah Puckett of Concord shifted the momentum with a grueling 5-0 decision win against Thomas Lacroix of Pinkerton. Devon Farwell of Concord in the 215-pound division then won with a 6-4 decision, while Wayne Gutierrez Sakakeeny beat his opponent in the 285-pound weight with a 38-second fall win.
