CONCORD, NH — A section of South Main Street was partially closed to traffic on Tuesday afternoon after a car struck a pedestrian who was taken to Concord Hospital later.

Concord police and fire and rescue teams were sent to the area of 190 S. Main St., near the McDonald’s Restaurant, just before 2:15 p.m. for a report of a crash. The first arriving officers immediately closed both southbound lanes. The car involved was a Hyundai being driven by a teenager. The police said the owner of the vehicle, a woman from Concord, was also in the car.

“The pedestrian is alert, talking to us,” one officer said, “but on the ground still.”
