Concord Police Investigating Assault At Homeless Camp: Watch
A woman was taken to jail after being accused of throwing rocks at others under the Water Street bridge; EMTS transport one to the hospital.
CONCORD, NH — Concord police are investigating an assault incident at a homeless camp underneath the Water Street bridge.
Around 5:45 p.m., officers were sent to the camp, where there was a fire on Monday night, for a man reporting a woman with long black hair was intoxicated and throwing rocks at other people, including him. He reported being hit in the head with one of the rocks but told police dispatch he did not think he needed medical attention. The man had left the area and was at CVS on Hall Street.
When police arrived at the camp, one officer said, “We’ve got one running,” and quickly identified the homeless woman due to prior contacts.

More officers were also called; one reported a person down on the ground and requested fire and rescue teams. Other officers reported catching up with the woman, according to scanner chatter.
“We just have her held down right now,” one officer said, out of breath, “no resisting.”

One person was taken to Concord Hospital for treatment.
Previous charges against the woman include drugs, assault by a prisoner, second-degree assault, criminal mischief, and escape charges, all felonies, as well as simple assault, resisting arrest, breach of bail, mischief, failure to appear, and warrants. Concord NH Patch will publish her name after confirming the official charges against her.
