An employee alleged that a man had been at the jewelry counter on two occasions during the evening and tried on a gold necklace, valued at $2,499 but on sale for $899, and took some pictures with his phone. On the third occasion, he tried on the necklace and then, fled the store. The officer took a description of the man, including the word “Tenacity” tattooed to his arm. The thief had left a Dunkin’ Donuts iced coffee on the counter, so the officer took custody of it. About three weeks later, the officer spoke to a detective about the case who said there were similar incidents in the area, including in Tilton, where Fox was previously arrested. The detective sent a picture of Fox and reached out to Tilton to find out if Fox had a tattoo with “Tenacity “on his arm and he reportedly did.
