Concord Police Log: Parolee Allegedly Caught with Heroin, Hashish

Plus, Chichester, Canterbury, and Concord residents busted for driving while intoxicated.

Michael Palmer, 22, of Mason Road in Chichester, was arrested at 1:35 a.m. on April 24, 2015, for driving while intoxicated. An officer on Loudon Road saw a Mazda 6 while a headlight out while jerking back and forth on the road. At the Exit 14 I-93 interchange, the officer alleged that the Mazda stopped at a red light and was over the double yellow line, out of its proper lane. The vehicle corrected itself and then, turned onto I-93 and began to accelerate away from the police cruiser. The officer pulled the vehicle over on I-393. The driver, Palmer, was allegedly slurring his words as he spoke and smelled like alcohol. After a license check, Palmer agreed to a field sobriety test and he was arrested. He’s due in court on May 11.

Aaron J. Jones, 39, of Shawmut Street in Concord, was arrested at 1:50 a.m. on April 23, and charged possession of controlled drugs, a felony, possession of drugs, and driving after revocation or suspension. While on Loudon Road, an officer reported that a vehicle pulled out in front of the officer, from Ormond Street, while failing to yield and crossed into the cruiser’s lane. “I had to slam on my brakes in order to avoid a collision with Jones’ vehicle,” the officer alleged. The vehicle was stopped and Jones was reportedly “apologetic,” and said he had been working late and was tired. A check yielded a theft by unauthorized taking warrant from Lancaster from Jan. 27, 2015, and a license suspension from Feb. 16, 2015, for default court summons. Jones was arrested and while conducting a search, the officer allegedly found a folded piece of paper in his shoe with cocaine in it. “Jones told me that he forgot he had the cocaine on him,” the officer alleged. He was held on $500 cash bail and is due in court on June 1.

David M. Sullivan, 24, of Loudon Road in Concord, was arrested at 8:40 p.m. on April 22, for felony possession of controlled drugs, possession of controlled drug, and default or breach of bail conditions. Officers were sent to an apartment on Loudon Road to assist a parole officer with a search of a parolee. A search of the apartment allegedly yielded a full needle of heroin, a bag of hashish, and several bags of marijuana, according to a court affidavit. Sullivan, who was out of bail, was arrested and held.

Julia C. Roberts, 38, of Marilyn Drive in Concord, was arrested at 2:05 a.m. on April 21, on two counts of driving while intoxicated. An officer on North State Street saw a Kia Sportage drive over a median and then, straighten itself out. The officer stopped the vehicle and spoke to the driver, Roberts, who reportedly smelled like alcohol. Roberts allegedly told a second officer that she was “distracted by her cellphone” when it began ringing and she looked away for a few seconds. The officer alleged that her eyes were bloodshot red and glossy, and she was speaking with a slight slur. She agreed to a field sobriety test and was arrested. Roberts is due in court on May 11.

Robert E. LaFontaine, 29, of Albin Street in Concord, was arrested at 11:40 p.m. on March 15, for possession of controlled drugs and two counts of default or breach of bail conditions. Officers were called to Albin Street for a report of a domestic violence order violation. About 30 minutes before, LaFontaine was arrested and released. Part of the bail conditions was for him to stay away from his girlfriend and not drink alcohol. LaFontaine was allegedly in the house, picking up some clothes. The woman stated when officers arrived that he allegedly ran out of the house. Police found reportedly him hiding in the garage. During a search, he allegedly had a glass pipe with marijuana residue in his pocket. He was arrested and held on $4,000 cash bail.

James L. Doughty, 31, of South Street in Concord, received a summons at 8:31 p.m. on March 16, for operating without a valid license after a traffic stop on Loudon Road. His license expired on March 9, 2015.

Garett C. Hamilton, 26, of McDonald Chaple Road in Collins, MS, received a summons at 9:20 p.m. on March 16, on a driving after revocation or suspension for a defective driver’s side brake light on South Main Street. A check yielded a suspended license and Hamilton reportedly stated that he may have forgotten to pay a speeding ticket.

Kelsea K. McAllister, 21, of Pinewood Trail in Concord, was arrested at 3:45 p.m. on March 10, for criminal mischief for an incident on Feb. 21, 2015, on Heartwood Lane.
