Concord Woman Arrested On Intoxicated Driving, Conduct After Accident Charges
Katie Lynn Tuthill was accused of crashing into an SUV on Storrs Street, driving on rims, gouging the road, attempting to leave the scene.
CONCORD, NH — A woman from Concord is facing intoxicated driving and accident charges after an incident on Storrs Street last month.
Katie Lynn Tuthill, 27, of Great Falls Drive in Concord, was arrested on June 30 on driving while intoxicated and conduct after an accident charges as well as a lane control violation.
Around 10:30 p.m., police dispatch began receiving calls about a motor vehicle accident, possibly involving two vehicles, on Storrs Street. One of the vehicles, a caller said, was partially in the street. Dispatch later told officers the suspect vehicle, a gray Volkswagen, was in the Bank of America parking lot.

The first arriving officer came upon one vehicle, a Toyota RAV-4 with heavy damage, near the entrance of the Market Basket on 80 Storrs St. The owner of the SUV, who lived in the Mennino Place Apartments, was outside and spoke with police along with two other witnesses. An officer said no one was inside the vehicle at the time of the crash.
The second officer caught up with the Volkswagen, which was pulled off on the side of the road outside the Holiday Inn.

One of the witnesses told police the Volkswagen struck a vehicle and then kept driving to the area of the Legislative Parking Garage. According to scanner chatter, the witness spoke to the driver to see if she was OK and suggested she had to come back to the crash scene.
Police noted gouge marks on Storrs Street toward the Volkswagen.
Another officer suggested those in the field double-check to ensure no other vehicles were struck. They also suggested speaking with the woman to see if she was impaired.
One officer told the watch commander the damage to the RAV-4 was consistent with the damage to the Volkswagen.
After field sobriety tests, the driver, Tuthill, was arrested.
In an interview about the case last week, Deputy Chief John Thomas accused Tuthill of driving while intoxicated, hitting the parked car, driving onto the curb, blowing out a tire, and leaving the scene.
“There was damage and debris everywhere,” he said.
Tuthill was attempting to change a tire when police found her, Thomas said. He also accused her of denying everything when questioned about the crash.
Concord District Court complaints accused her of failing to stop to inform another person of the accident with the RAV-4, driving on Storrs Street while under the influence of any combination of intoxicating liquor, controlled substances, or other substances, which impaired her ability to drive, and failing to maintain going in a single lane.
Tuthill is due in court on July 31.
