Concord Woman Arrested Twice in One Month
Police: Saxon Hoffman faces possession of drugs, other charges.

A local with a history of arrests who is living in a drug den on Rumford Street that is being investigated by the city, was arrested twice last month on a number of charges, according to court documents and arrest reports.
Cynthia Saxon Hoffman, 50, of Rumford Street in Concord, was arrested at 1:53 a.m. on July 2, and charged with possession of controlled drugs and resisting arrest or detention. A few weeks later, she was arrested again at 11:08 a.m. on July 27, and charged with disorderly conduct and criminal trespass.
According to reports, officers on bike patrol were called to Rumford Street for a report that a woman, Saxon Hoffman, was calling to state that her boyfriend “needed an attitude adjustment,” adding that he was being “homicidal towards her family.”

Saxon Hoffman answered the door and let police into the house and started yelling, “Look, let me show what he did,” according to police. The parties were separated and Saxon Hoffman led an officer into her bedroom and alleged that the boyfriend took a broom and hit his television.
“(It) did not appear to have any damage,” the officer reported. “I then asked her if there was anything physical that occurred between them, to which she replied, ‘no.’”

The officer noticed a glass pipe and a metal grinder “in plain view” sitting on a box next to the bedroom door. The officer asked Saxon Hoffman, “Whose pot pipe?,” to which she allegedly answered, “It’s mine, I smoke marijuana.”
Saxon Hoffman was told that she was under arrest but she allegedly pulled away from the officer when he tried to cuff her. Another officer came in to assist and she was cuffed and taken from the apartment.
She was held without bail.
In the July 27, incident, officers were sent to the Hess gas station on North Main Street for a report of a woman in the store “yelling and screaming.”
The officers caught up with the woman and asked her what her name was. She reportedly refused, continued yelling, and was unsteady on her feet to the point where she had to lean against the wall to support herself, according to the repointing officer, who alleged that she smelled like alcohol.
Another officer went to speak to the store manager who reported that Saxon Hoffman had been in and out of the gas station all morning crying hysterically and screaming about people being killed. The store manager said that a number of customers complained about her language and demeanor. He asked her on “multiple occasions” to stop screaming and leave but she allegedly refused and continued to go in and out of the store and disrupt business.
The officer reportedly tried speaking with Saxon Hoffman, to no avail.
“It became apparent to me that she was intoxicated and emotionally distraught to the point where no productive dialogue could occur,” the officer stated.
Later, she was arrested, and allegedly stated, “I’m not f---ing going anywhere with you bastards.” The officer stated that she didn’t resist but while cuffed in the cruiser, she allegedly began screaming and thrashing around the passenger compartment, hitting the window with her head while continuing to yell and swear.
She was held without bail.
Saxon Hoffman has been arrested a number of times during the last couple of years including a disorderly conduct charge in 2012 at the Vegas Block Apartments, a criminal trespass charge earlier in 2012 on Allison Street, and another call at the apartment building on North Main Street in late 2012 and early 2013. She was also arrested in 2010 on South Main Street for a disorderly conduct charge, according to the Concord Insider, after calling 911 twice because she couldn’t find her U-Haul keys.
