Convicted New Hampshire Burglar, Calumet Escapee, Arrested
Police arrested Clifton Caron Jr. on Wednesday, a felon accused of not returning to the Calumet House transitional unit in Manchester.

CONCORD, NH — A convicted felon with dozens of previous charges who was placed on escape status on Monday after being accused of not returning to a state transitional home when required has been captured.
Clifton R. Caron Jr. left the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit in Manchester around 9 a.m. on Monday for work. New Hampshire Department of Corrections officials accused him of not returning at 10:30 p.m., as expected. However, police in Manchester were able to arrest him on Wednesday, after "numerous tips and sightings," the department said on Twitter.
Caron was convicted of a burglary charge and was due to be paroled as soon as July 22.

Caron has a criminal history in the state dating back to 2010, according to superior court records. Some of the charges and convictions include several felony burglaries and thefts, as well as drug possession and violation of probation or parole charges..
