Convicted NH Burglar, Gun Fugitive Caught in Massachusetts
Megan Cullen was arrested in Worcester this morning; in comments to Patch, she denied marshals' warning that she was "armed and dangerous."

CONCORD, NH — This week’s New Hampshire Fugitive of the Week has been found and arrested after tips – and her reported interaction with state officials and the press – led the task force to one of Massachusetts’ largest cities, according to a press alert. Megan Cullen, 29, was arrested on Dec. 16, 2016, as a fugitive from justice on an outstanding warrant for parole violations.

After the posting of the fugitive notice, the U.S. Marshals received “several tips” that pointed investigators to central Massachusetts, including Worcester.

“Based on these tips and follow-up investigation done by deputy U.S. Marshals in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts, Cullen was located and arrested without incident at a residence on Olean Street in Worcester, Mass.,” Deputy Jeffrey White of the U.S. Marshals Service stated in a press release. “Cullen is being charged as a fugitive from justice based on the outstanding NH arrest warrant. Cullen will be held at the local jail pending her return to New Hampshire.”
Yesterday morning, about 24 hours before her capture, Cullen – who has been arrested on numerous crimes during the past few years for receiving stolen property, criminal liability, and parole violations – emailed both Concord NH Patch and an official at the state Department of Corrections challenging the assertion that she was “armed and dangerous,” which was the warning issued by the task force on her fugitive status, due to the gun conviction. She noted in the rambling 600-plus email that she was a military veteran but her life spiraled out of control due to substance abuse issues. Officials later confirmed the validity of the email to Patch.

In a comment online late last night on the Patch fugitive alert, Cullen again stated that she was not armed and dangerous and the violation was for reportedly failing to check in with officials.
“The article listed above gives readers the assumption that I was just recently convicted of the burglary and disposing of a fire arm,” she wrote. “I would like to let readers know that I was convicted in 2012 and served time for the crimes that I committed from 2012-2015. Also I would like to point out that I am honestly scared for my well-being and that I am very concerned that some trigger happy cop is going to shot me if I try to grab my chap stick out of my pocket, or that some ‘hero’ is going to try to attack me and restrain me because I'm supposedly ‘armed and dangerous.’”
Cullen added that she was “more vulnerable than I am dangerous” and asked for people to pray for her.
