Police were called at around 4 a.m. to Kirkland Drive for a report of a burglary in progress, according to police. A caller told police that a man had broke into his home and was standing in the foyer.

The suspect, Hildreth, allegedly grabbed the phone from the homeowner and then fled back through a window near the front door that he had reportedly used to enter the home, according to a press statement. He then reportedly crossed the street, entered another home with an unlocked rear door, and was confronted by another homeowner.

“Hildreth fled the home to the front yard where he was met by Andover Police,” according to Chief Patrick Keefe. “While being taken into custody, Hildreth kicked a police officer. Hildreth stated he was high on crack cocaine.”

Responding police noted that he had a laceration on his back, which is believed to have occurred when he alleged entered or exited the first home through a broken window. He was transported to the hospital and arrested later.

“Luckily, no one was seriously injured and nothing was taken from either of these homes in this case, thanks to the homeowner’s immediate 911 call and the quick response from police officers on duty,” Keefe said.

In 2014, Hildreth was arrested by Concord Police, for assault and criminal mischief after allegedly damaging or destroying a cellphone owned by another person.
