Police came across the information after investigating a gun theft case in late February after Hall was accused of stealing a Ruger SR40 handgun and gold necklace from a home on Maple Street. Hall – who, earlier this year, was convicted of theft, receiving stolen property, and changing marks on a firearm, according to court documents – later admitted to the crime after returning the gold chain. He also allegedly admitted to abusing meth and heroin and smoking marijuana, which led him to interact with a girl after scoring some weed on Thorndike Street, according to the detective's report earlier this year. The girl later helped police locate the gun in the park, where Hall had hidden in.
According to court records, during the process of this investigation, detectives came across evidence to charge Hall with numerous felony charges. Court records alleged that Hall requested an underage girl to create and send a video of herself. She reportedly did what was requested of her and the next day, she allegedly sent him the video. The alleged request and exchange of the video, due to the nature of its content and the age of the girl, constituted a violation of state and federal child pornography laws.

Hall knew that she was under 16 and allegedly enticed her anyway, according to the allegations by detectives, so the endangerment, computer use, and criminal solicitation charges were added.
Hall was also charged with simple assault for allegedly striking the girl in the buttocks on March 6, about a week after the alleged video request and exchange, while they were together at White Park but that charge was nolle pros (dropped) this week.
On Oct. 31, Hall allegedly missed a court hearing and a warrant was issued for his arrest. He was held on $10,000 cash bail but later released. According to the bail information, Hall is to stay off social media sites and he is banned from any non-educational computer use.
