Tide Beats Souhegan; Bedford 2nd At Timberlane; 12 Team Wrestle In Merrimack: NH Results
Amherst beats Nashua South; Nashua North beats John Stark; Bow, Salem notch wins at Tomahawk duals; Londonderry beats Portsmouth; more.
CONCORD, NH — Wrestlers competed in hundreds of bouts at tournaments and duals around New Hampshire on Saturday.
Here are some of the highlights for the day.
Concord varsity wrestlers beat Souhegan, 58 to 18, to advance to 13-1.

The Crimson Tide started out on a 22-0 run, winning the first four matches with Biswas Darji at 106, Dominick Hubbard at 113, and Griffin Norwalt at 126, all winning by pin. Cullen Burke, in the 120 weight category, won MD 11-2.
The Sabers then won three straight: Logan Brown won in the 132, 10-7; Chase Knuckle won TB-1 3-1; and Christian Knuckles won in the 144 by fall.

In the 150, Jeremy Richard of Concord won by fall, and Sam Albert of Souhegan won by fall in the 157.
Concord then won the next five matches, with Anthony Gualtieri, Carl Sirrianna, Isaiah Puckett, and Devon Farwell winning by falls. The Tide also won one match by forfeit.

The Sabers were able to pick up a win against the Panthers on Saturday in Concord, 54-29.
Brown, Knuckle, Knuckles, and Alexander Gray all won by falls for Souhegan. Diego Dominguez, Connor Whitman, and Robert Signor all won by falls for Nashua South, while Robert Perez won by TF 17-2.
Thirty of the Saber’s points were due to forfeit, while six were for the Panthers.

Pinkerton Academy was able to beat Souhegan, 63-18.
Benjamin Smiley in the 120 category won by fall, while two other Sabers won forfeits. The Astros won eight bouts by fall and two by decision.
The Nashua South vs. Pinkerton Academy results were not available at post time. Plymouth Regional was scheduled to attend but did not.
Junior varsity wrestlers from Amherst-Mont Vernon, Concord, Nashua, and Pinkerton also competed, but results were unavailable.
Bedford Takes 2nd At Timberlane Invitational
Several schools from around the region participated in the 2024 Timberlane Invitational on Saturday.
Lowell placed first with 89 points, Bedford came in second, and Noble was third. Spaulding came in fourth, with North Andover placing fifth. Goffstown and Sanford tied for sixth and Manchester Memorial came in eighth.
In the 113, Tavin Bland for Memorial came in sixth; Alex Jennings of Bedford came in sixth in the 126 weight category; Nate Pass won in the 132 for Bedford; Kiaben Kennedy of Bedford came in first in the 138; Seth Hastey for Bedford placed second in the 150; In the 165, Robert Craig of Bedford came in third, Tucker Watson came in third in the 175, and Gavin McConnell came in third in the 190. Patrick Vachon of Manchester placed sixth in the 215, while Jayden Kuilan came in third for Memorial in the 285.
For the Girls, Grace Kenna of Bedford came in second in the 114; Isabelle Boisvert came in first for Bedford and Rebekah Sanborn of Memorial placed third in the 120; and Audrey Shaw of Bedford placed second in the 132.
Merrimack HOF Duals
About a dozen schools wrestled in Merrimack at its HOF Duals.
Merrimack dropped three during the meet — losing to Bow, 67-9, Salem, 77-6, and Winnisquam, 72-12.
Connor Sayball for the Tomahawks won in the 126-weight class in a decision against Bow.
In the bouts with Salem, Mitchell Krupp won the 144 by fall. For Salem, Caleb O’Rourke, Cameron Monahan, Jonathan Belkus, Daniel Hughes, James Nelson, Tyler Pavidis, Maddow Boudreau, Dominic Murphy, Brody McDonald, Spencer Buscema, and Evan Lynch all won. Salem also won two bouts by forfeit.
Against Winnisquam, Connor Marshall won in the 113 and Grant Descheneaux won in the 138 weight category. Avary Berardinellis also won in an extra match.
Bow also beat Londonderry, 42-31.
In the Lancers’ meet, Patrick O’Connor in the 190 and Dylan Nadeau in the 120 both won by falls, while Dylan Nadeau, Caleb Holden, Brendan Egan, Manny Perez, Finn Millis, and David Pento won by decisions for Londonderry.
Londonderry also beat Winnisquam, 46-33 and Portsmouth, 54-29.
In the Winnisquam match, Perez, Millis, Pento, O’Connor, Dakota Shaffer, Nikki Stylianos, Lucas DeLeon, and Nadeau all won.
Against Portsmouth, Nadeau, Haley Doyle, Holden, Perez, Millis, and Lachlan Buttle all won. For Portsmouth, Elijah Josey, Mason Foster, and Carter Kuhn won. Londonderry also won three matches by forfeit, while Portsmouth won one.
The Lancers also lost to Noble, 48-36.
Millis, Pento, O’Connor, DeLeon, Egan, and Perez won their matches against Noble.
Scores were not available for Windham vs. Merrimack or Salem vs. Bow.
John Stark Duals
Nashua North beat John Stark Regional at the John Stark Quad, 48-31.
Owen Gagnon in the 106, Sebastian Ochoa, Haden Durocher, Yuri Soares, Fernando Pages Naranjo, and Ruben DeJesus all won for Nashua.
Bishop Guertin wrestlers beat John Stark in a squeaker, 42-39, while also beating Newport on Saturday, 27-6.
Other Tourneys And Matches
Six schools — Campbell, Exeter, Milford, Mount Pleasant High School in Rhode Island, Raymond, and Winnacunnet all wrestled at duals, but scores were unavailable at post time. ConVal and Stevens wrestled at the Commodore Wrestling Invitational in Vermont. Kearsarge Regional, Lebanon, Mascoma Valley, and White Mountains Regional wrestled at Mascoma. Keene wrestled at the Franklin County MA Tech Duals, while Pelham wrestled at the Triton Quad.
About 20 clubs competed in the Merrimack Tomahawk Throwdown for middle schoolers and other youth wrestlers.
The Salem Bulldogs won the meet with 42.5 points, followed by Lynx, Litchfield, Keene, and Massabesic clubs. Londonderry tied for 14th.
Several clubs competed in the Milford Youth Open Tournament, while Seacoast Youth held a tournament at Winnacunnet.
Rundlett Middle School also hosted its tournament on Saturday.
At Goffstown, 10 clubs participated in the NHWay Novice Tourney, including Bow, Litchfield, Londonderry, and Nashua on Friday.
