Dips Frozen Yogurt to Close Main Street Location
Owner Nick Harriman cites high operating costs, failed lease terms as the reasons; hopes to offer mobile operation next year.

It’s been two and half years since Dips Frozen Yogurt opened to much fanfare on North Main Street in Concord but owner Nick Harriman will be closing the shop during the next few weeks and taking the business in another direction, according to a post yesterday on Facebook.
Harriman said he hopes to go mobile sometime next year with the operation. He cited “high operating costs and failed lease terms” as the reason for the closure. A second fro-yo location, Orange Leaf, a franchise with a number of locations in New Hampshire, opened a few months after Dips just a few doors down the street.
“Dips will be changing hands by the end of the month,” he noted. “I urge everyone to come get their fix and use up any gift cards you may have over the next few weeks. We will be selling discounted quart size containers of your favorite flavors.”

The store is located a 132 N. Main St., a building owned by Remi Hinxhia of Associated Enterprises, who bought the neighboring building, the historic Vegas Block Apartment building, in July 2014, for $975,000 at auction.
Harriman noted that anyone who shared the closure post on their Facebook sites would get a free 8 ounce dish of frozen yogurt.
