Concord firefighters arrived and confirmed the vehicle was on I-393, but the injured man was at the Kimball Jenkins Estate. The commander requested EMTs head there instead of the highway.
Police found the vehicle, a Toyota, not far from North Main Street, at the South Commercial onramp onto the highway.
A one-way sign was also uprooted during the crash.
“The car’s totaled,” an officer said. “It’s going to need a tow.”
After EMTs examined him, the driver was taken to Concord Hospital. He was also arrested for drunken driving and conduct after accident charges.
A tow truck was also requested to the scene.
