Driver Warnings Issued As Icy Roads Reported Around New Hampshire
Year-end storm update: The morning commute is a mess but there are limited outages as the first part of 2-part storm shifts north slightly.

CONCORD, NH — The New Hampshire State Emergency Operations Center has been activated Monday as the state experiences a two-part storm expected to last through Tuesday afternoon. The activation comes as state police warn drivers about icy Interstates and a number of crashes although no major ones. There are also limited power outages in New Hampshire currently.
Weather watchers have also tweaked their forecasts a bit as the storm's path tracks north slightly compared to previous predictions during the weekend.
The emergency operations center was activated, at a partial level, at 6 a.m., according to a post on Twitter, with the center sharing outage contact information for the state's four utility companies.

Forecast Updates
The National Weather Service has a "winter storm warning" alert in place for most of the state – with the exception of parts of the Seacoast, which are under an advisory.
"A slow-moving low-pressure system will spread a mix of precipitation types across the region through Tuesday," the updated alert stated. "A mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain is expected across southern New Hampshire, with snow and sleet elsewhere. This will result in slippery travel today and Tuesday for many areas."

Forecasters have revised the storm track slightly north of where it was first expected leading to some revised snow accumulation totals.
The National Weather Service is calling for as much as 10-inches of snow in the Lakes Region and parts north while Concord should receive 6- to 7-inches. Amherst, Bedford, Exeter, Londonderry, Merrimack, Milford, and Salem should expect somewhere between 4- and 6-inches with 5-inches expected in Portsmouth but only 3-inches expected in Hampton, Nashua, North Hampton, and Windham, forecasters noted.
AccuWeather.com's updated report, however, is sticking with its initial forecast of between 3- to 6-inches in the southern and coastal parts of the state, 6- to 12-inches in the south-central part of the state, and 12- to 18-inches in Concord and communities to the northeast.
