HOOKSETT, NH — An elderly man was arraigned and held on felony deadly weapon charges in Merrimack County Superior Court Tuesday after a shooting in Hooksett. Kenneth Watt, 77, of Vindale Road was arrested Monday after police were sent to a report of a dispute between neighbors around 5:45 p.m. which led to a shooting incident. The dispute stemmed from a verbal argument between two men who live next to each other, according to Lt. James Bradley of the Hooksett Police Department.

"The male victim suffered a gunshot wound and was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries," he said. "Hooksett police detectives were granted search warrants and collected evidence on scene and at the hospital."

Watt was arraigned on first-degree assault with a deadly weapon, criminal threatening with a deadly weapon, and reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, all felonies.
