Granite State Roller Derby Rolls Again July 21st

Concord, NH—Cheer on your local wonder women on July 21 when Concord’s Granite State Roller Derby Legislashers battle the Upper Valley Vixens in GSRD’s second-to-last home bout of the 2012 season.

 

July’s superhero-themed bout is at the Everett Arena in Concord and begins at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in advance on the league’s website, granitestaterollerderby.com, or at one of these local vendors: Spank Alley Skateshop (upstairs at 8 N. Main St., Concord), Concord Headlines (216 S. Main St., Concord), Dunkin Donuts (60 Manchester Street, Concord) and Arnie’s Ice Cream (164 Loudon Rd., Concord). Tickets also may be purchased at the door.

Faster than a speeding bullet, flat-track roller derby offers an entertaining and exciting time for the whole family. Children under 5 are admitted free, seniors and members of the military are $8, and adults are $10 for advance tickets. Prices are $2 higher at the door.

Granite State Roller Derby is a registered NH nonprofit organization and works in partnership with local charitable organizations in our community. Each month, the crew at GSRD uses their superpowers for good to support and raise money local charities. This month in the spirit of girl power, GSRD is partnering with Girls, Inc. of Concord. A 50/50 raffle at the bout will benefit the nonprofit group that focuses on empowering young women, and donations are also being accepted at granitestaterollerderby.com.

 

Go Local Music presents Ghost Dinner Band for halftime entertainment.

 

After the bout, fans are invited to join the ladies of GSRD and Upper Valley Vixens at The Red Blazer (72 Manchester Street, Concord). Meet the skaters and learn more about the comeback of roller derby! Superhero capes are optional.
