“The operator of the vehicle pulled over and a confrontation ensued,” Hubbard alleged. “(The victim) said that the operator brandished a semi-automatic pistol and tried to ‘pistol whip’ him with it. The victim deflected the blow to protect himself from the assault, which caused the suspect to drop the pistol.”
The suspect allegedly punched the victim in the face, retrieved his pistol, and left the area in his vehicle, Hubbard stated. The victim provided a physical description of the operator. After an investigation of the incident, an arrest warrant was issued against Lamy and a search warrant was obtained for his vehicle, which was located on Union Avenue. Lamy, however, allegedly attempted to flee the scene.
