Former Concord Resident Arrested Again on Drug Charges
Amanda Parent was arrested by police after an early morning spat in Manchester.

MANCHESTER, NH — A former Concord resident with prior drug and other arrests has been arrested again in the Queen City during the weekend, according to police. Amanda Parent, 25, of Manchester, was arrested on Nov. 5, 2016, for possession of a controlled drug-marijuana.

According to police, officers were sent to the intersection of Auburn and Beech streets on Saturday morning for a report of a disturbance involving a woman. The officers located the woman – Parent – who was standing in the middle of the street, reportedly acting disorderly, according to Lt. Brian O’Keefe of the Manchester Police Department.

“The intoxicated woman allegedly engaged in a verbal confrontation with an unknown male who had vacated the area prior to police arrival,” O’Keefe alleged. “An anonymous woman informed the officers that Parent placed an unknown item in the gas tank area of the vehicle before police arrived on scene.”
Officers eyed the gas tank area of the vehicle and allegedly found 9.84 grams of marijuana, according to O’Keefe. She was arrested and had a court date on Monday.

Parent was arrested about five years ago in Bedford for driving and drug charges, and then, on a bench warrant a few weeks later. She later moved to Concord and was arrested on criminal mischief and theft charges in June 2014, after an incident at a local restaurant. A year later, she was arrested on a prescription drug charge.
In August and September 2015, she was arrested on numerous charges including simple assault, domestic violence-simple assault, false imprisonment, domestic violence-false imprisonment, and breach of bail, as well as six counts of possession of controlled drugs, five of them felonies, two counts of possession of prescription drugs without a prescription, and possession with intent to distribute controlled drugs, a felony.
