Franklin Felon Arrested By State Police On 9 Drug Sale Counts
Michael Brownell of Franklin was accused of drug dealing and possessing guns. Kaitlyn Blake (Woodbury) of Belmont was arrested on warrants.

FRANKLIN, NH — A man from Franklin faces multiple drug dealing charges after an arrest in Franklin on Thursday after a months-long investigation.
Michael Brownell, 39, of Franklin, was charged with transporting drugs in a motor vehicle, two felony counts of possession of a controlled drug, two felony felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, and nine felony counts of sale of a controlled drug. He was accused of possessing two guns, around 500 grams of suspected methamphetamine, and 1,300 grams of suspected of fentanyl. Brownell also possessed $5,000 in cash.
Kaitlyn Blake (Woodbury), 32, of Belmont, was also arrested in Franklin on an outstanding electronic bench warrants out of Plymouth Circuit Court and Laconia Circuit Court on motor vehicle charges.

After being arrested, Brownell was sent to the Merrimack County Jail and arraigned in Laconia Circuit Court on Friday. He was held on preventative detention. Blake was booked and processed at Franklin police headquarters and at the county jail. She has pending appearances in Plymouth and Laconia circuit courts.

Tyler Dumont, the public information officer for state police, said New Hampshire State Police Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team assisted in the investigation.
