CONCORD, NH — Friday’s Mega Millions jackpot, the last one of 2022, was expected to increase to $640 million, New Hampshire Lottery officials said Wednesday.

With no winner on Tuesday and no winner since mid-October, the jackpot continues to increase. The one-time cash payout also increased and was expected to be $329.3 million before taxes.

“There is just nothing better than the excitement of a big Mega Millions jackpot right in the middle of the holiday season,” Charlie McIntyre, the executive director of the New Hampshire Lottery, said. “I know I’m hoping one of our lucky New Hampshire players gets to watch the ball drop on New Year’s Eve as a $640 million winner! We are seeing the momentum build as online sales are showing and our retailers are reporting excellent sales, and we can all feel the anticipation rising. We encourage our players to get in on the action for a chance to ring in 2023 as a $640 million winner!”
