Fugitive Of The Week Bagged Hiding Out In Motel

Nicholas LaPanne was wanted on a bail violation after allegedly being involved in a drunk driving crash in near a school in October 2016.

CONCORD, NH — A U.S. Marshal Fugitive of the Week from last month was captured last night by Strafford County Sheriffs, according to a press alert. Nicholas LaPanne, 44, who was wanted for a bail violation after allegedly being involved in a drunk driving crash near a Rochester school in October 2016, was arrested hiding out in a motel last night. LaPanne was picked up after “information was developed by officers from the Strafford Police Department” that he might be in Rochester, according to Deputy U.S. Marshal Jeffrey White.

“This information was further researched, leading a team of deputies to a motel located on Milton Road in Rochester,” he alleged. “Lapanne was located inside a room, where he was staying using a relative’s name.”

Lapanne was wanted on a bail violation after being arrested on aggravated driving while intoxicated, criminal mischief, reckless conduct, conduct after an accident, disobeying an officer, and lane-control violation charges, after a crash on Oct. 7, 2016, near Spaulding High School in Rochester, according to press reports. He is being held pending a court appearance in Strafford County Superior Court.
