Harlem Wizards Come Back to Concord for Tedy’s Team Benefit

The event will be held Jan. 25. In 2016, the fundraiser raised more than $5,000 for Tedy's Team and the American Stroke Association.

CONCORD, NH – Local business owner and advocate for heart health, Jeremy Woodward, is pleased to announce a Harlem Wizards Basketball Fundraiser, presented by Whole Health of Concord, according to a press statement. The event will take place at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017, at Bishop Brady High School.

The Harlem Wizards are “a show basketball entity delivering wildly successful fundraiser events for schools and nonprofits.” This is the second year that Woodward has hosted the fundraiser to raise money for Tedy’s Team and the American Stroke Association. Last year’s event raised more than $5,000 and Woodward is hoping to double that this year.

Playing against the legendary Harlem Wizards is a team made up of local teachers, students, and community leaders which include Tom Raffio, president and CEO of NE Delta Dental, Jamie Staton, the sports director at WMUR-TV, and State Sen. Dan Feltes.

“I’m honored to participate in this charity event to benefit Tedy’s Team,” said Feltes, “and I look forward to showcasing some of my new dunk moves.”

Scheduled to make an appearance as “Honorary Coach” is former New England Patriots Linebacker, Tedy Bruschi. Tedy created “Tedy’s Team,” a group of runners raising money for the American Stroke Association through the Boston Marathon and the Falmouth Road Race.Members of Tedy’s Team support Tedy Bruschi’s fight against stroke and honors both the survivors and the loved ones lost to America’s No. 5 leading cause of death.

Ticket prices range from $15-$30 and can be purchased in advance by visiting harlemwizards.com.
